Preventative Health Visit

Ensure your immunizations; cancer screening and evidence based tests are up to date. We recommend a preventative health visit every 3 years for patients under 50, and every 2 years for patients over 50. Preventative health visits must be booked for an in-person appointment.

To book a preventative health visit, please call in to the clinic or book online through Medeo.

What can I expect during my PHV?

First you will be seen by one of the Registered Nurses for measurements/blood pressure check, and will be asked to bring up any acute concerns. After which, the nurse will go through some screening questions with you which may include vaccinations, routine cancer screening, and lifestyle-related questions. This information will be then documented in your chart, to streamline your preventative health visit. Your primary provider will then see you for assessment and discuss any relevant concerns that are brought up. You may then receive requisitions for bloodwork, imaging, and prescriptions as recommended by your provider.
