As a patient of Village FHT, there are significant advantages to your health in coming here for your urgent and non-urgent health care needs. It improves your continuity of care, allows your medical records and test results to be at one site, and often avoids unnecessary tests and visits. We reserve same day spots for urgent issues and have a Saturday morning urgent walk-in clinic to help accommodate your needs. We also offer Wellx free of charge to you to provide easy communication with your physician for non-urgent issues, and we have a strong publically funded allied health team to serve our patients (social worker, dietician, nurse practitioner, nurses and chiropodist).
Every month, your physician receives an Outside Use report from the Ministry of Health, indicating which patients have gone to a walk-in clinic or used a house call service. You may not be aware that using these services, while being suboptimal for your healthcare, also has a direct and significant financial penalty on your physician and your clinic. This does compromise our ability to continue to provide the types of services and timely access to care that we value for our patients (this does not apply to emergency department visits or specialist appointments).

If it is an emergency, please go to your nearest emergency department.
