Bursary for Students with Disabilities (BSWD)
Are you a post-secondary student living with a disability, including invisible disability like depression or anxiety? Are you a recipient of the OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program)? If so, you should register with your school’s Accessibility/Student Support Office and apply for the Bursary for Students. Students who qualify may receive up to $2000 per year for disability related expenses like counselling and equipment related to your disability. Additional details can be found in the links below.
One should also note that registering with your school’s Accessibility Office may allow you to access academic supports like note takers, extended deadlines, and special test accommodations. It is highly recommended you register with your school’s Accessibility Office at the start of the term, given that they are often very busy and it can take several weeks before grants are reviewed and processed.
